Hi,

My name is Michael Reyes I have been training martial arts consistently for the last 15yrs. I started training with an MMA club in Southern California focused on wrestling and striking. After a few months I joined Kings MMA in Huntington Beach, CA. I spent 6 years under Coach Rafael Cordeiro from Brazil and a chute box lineage. In that time, I trained mostly striking specifically for MMA. I was offered a hand full of fights by Rafael Cordeiro, I trained alongside and was a regular fight camp training partner for multiple professional & amateur fighters. At the time I lacked a submission game so I made the choice to decline the fights I was offered and took more of a coaching roll. During that period I also spent 2 years working with many fighters out of my garage gym while running a striking cardio class a few days a week. Since I moved to Arizona in 2016 I started focusing mostly on No-Gi Jiu Jitsu and I currently train as a Purple belt at 10th Planet Jiu jitsu Phoenix under John Botello. I have a deep passion for teaching and invest my self in to every one of my students. I’ve been with my amazing wife for over 22yrs and we have a beautiful 10yr old daughter.
